Airlines of the Past

These airlines went out of business. But it's never too late to rebrand as if they were still in business; new airplanes, technologies, and new campaigns all possible to exercise the creativity. Sleek new logos and updated typography to bring these dead carriers back from extinction.

Northwest Airlines

Acquired by Delta Air Lines in 2009, Northwest Airlines operated from 1928 as a mail carrier and then evolved into one of the best U.S. carriers throughout the 20th century until it's demise. Browse the gallery below.

U.S. Airways

Acquired by American Airlines in 2008, it was the rival flagship American carrier that covered more domestic routes and international destinations.

Trans World Airlines

A world-class envy ravaged by bankruptcies and a national tragedy, it was the airline of choice for style, comfort, and excellence. It was later acquired by American Airlines in 2001.
